                                    For the Hillsborough Recorder

                 MEETING OF THE ALAMANCER REGULATORS

                         In Camp at Garysburg, N. C., May 16th, 1861

            J. R. Holt, Chairman, D. M. Roney and Felix Crutchfield, Secretaries

Whereas, our worthy brother and fellow soldier, Patterson Boon, has just received a gunshot wound by the accidental discharge of a ball from a pistol, in the hands of Emanuel Rike, the same passing in the outer and upper part of the left arm, three or four inches below the shoulder, and whereas the assistant Surgeon for this encampment is without the necessary instruments to extract the same, we have, by the consent of the Colonel Commandant, determined to send our wounded brother home to his friends in Alamance.

Resolved, That Mr. Boon does not attach blame to Mr. Rike, and regards the same as being purely accidental and equally and alike unexpected to all.

Resolved, That Mr. Boon carries with him our heartfelt sorrow, and we wish for him a speedy recovery.

Resolved, These proceedings be sent to the Hillsborough Recorder with the request to publish.

                                                J. R. HOLT, Chairman

                                                D. M. RONEY, Secretary

                                                F. CRUTCHFIELD, Secretary
